Wellness Wednesday – Pivotal Therapy Occipivot

The Occipivot is a soft tissue tool that uses your body’s pressure to release tight upper neck muscles, specifically the occipital musculature.

Using the technique of direct pressure to release and relax tight muscles it works very similar to that of a foam roller. Its one-of-a-kind shape allows the neck and head to be cradled in a way that keeps position of the head completely neutral without the muscles around it engaging. The design of the Occipivot is made to mimic that of the hand position needed when performing a manual occipital release.

This small foam tool has the ability to alleviate tension headaches, release the knots in the neck and increase range of motion. We specifically thought of a few of our clients when we were looking into this device, two of which have already commented on how much better they felt after just one minute.
